Apple tops Consumer Reports, again
Just read this in Information Week:
“Among its “recommended computers” based on Consumer Reports experts’ evaluations, Apple MacBooks topped each of the laptop categories: lightweight, 14 inches to 16 inches, and 17 inches. Most of the computers were purchased at Best Buy (NYSE: BBY).”
I’m not surprised. Although they mention the higher price tag, it’s not hard to see anyone able to make it up in productivity and absence of OS issues. I know people who have kept their Apple gear far longer than designers even intended (5-7 years) and still got daily use out of it. I’d be surprised if most of the tested Windows laptops hold out much past the new Windows upgrade.
