The following video is great! It blew my mind the first time I saw it. I just sat there and was stunned.  I think I was stunned for a few minutes, then an hour.  Then I kept thinking about this for days.  It starts out a little slow, but the punchline is worth it!

• Impromptu movie!

This afternoon I decided to kick back and take in a movie at the last minute. I pull out my iPhone and fired up this great app called Movies by Flixster! Anyone with more than 1 friend knows it’s impossible to get everyone to agree on a time, place, and movie in time to make the showing. Movies by Flixter makes it easy by giving you all the data all in one place.

I can do all the typical stuff you’d expect from a movie app like movie times, theaters location and contact info, and movie ratings. But the best part is that I can also watch previews, check out what’s coming soon not only in theaters but on DVD, and contribute my own ratings to the community. If you have a Facebook account, you can have the app log into it and post your movie ratings to share with your friends.

Ratings from several sites are offered too. I can see what other Flixster users rate, as well as Rotten Tomatoes, and even jump into IMDb to check out the skinny there.
